Worship and Christian Education Times
The 8:00 a.m. service on Sundays is a quiet and reflective service using Rite I, a service in Elizabethan English. Reverent, Traditional, and Beautiful this is a great way to start your Sunday.
The 10:30 a.m. service on Sundays is a choral celebration using Rite II. Music from a variety of traditions is sung beautifully by our choir. We use the Hymnal 1982 and a collection of hymns called "Lift Every Voice." Taize music rounds out our offering. Children are welcome at the service or they may attend Children's Chapel. The children return to the sanctuary from Children's Chapel before The Peace.
At 9:00 a.m. on Sundays, Children and Youth gather for Christian Education. Our youngest children gather in the nursery for a time of "little blessings" those ages 3-9 gather for the Catecheses of the Good Shepherd, a Montessori based curriculum. Those ages 9-11 gather for instruction from "Living the Good News" a lectionary based offering. Those in grades 6-8 participate in our Rite-13 Class. Those in grades 9-12 attend the Journey to Adulthood class. Adults have several offerings each Sunday for education, spirituality and discussion. Current classes can be found in the Labyrinth Walk or you may contact the church office for a current list of classes. (Children and Youth Christian Education does not meet during the Summer)
The 12:00 p.m. service on Wednesdays are Eucharist and Healing services with time for reflection and meditation.
